About The Project

Foundation

Purpose

The Stars Unseen is a feature length faith-based drama film that is based on a conflict of ideas.

Science can’t “observe” God. But we can observe a universe that yields evidence of one of two things: It’s either God’s handiwork, or it got here by accident, without a creator. Interestingly our culture has painted science as being a conflicting force against God. But what they fail to highlight is science that exists that is so intricate and exact that mathematicians and scientists can’t explain it because it contradicts the very basis of their understanding.

Audiences will love this film because it presents God as the intelligent designer in a soft, inviting way that doesn’t feel forceful or aggressive. The dialogue is written very natural, relatable and original. Quick witted humor Is spaced throughout to contrast with the more intense dramatic aspects.

The message is presented in a way that will cause the audience to consider their own

spirituality. This project will shift perspectives and bring to light the science that reveals the glory of God.

Synopsis

Senior year at university unfolds as Mary Ward settles into her off-campus apartment. Guided by the lingering pain of her mother’s passing, Mary is skeptical of God’s existence. When she and fellow student Cam Walker are recruited by their professor to help observe a rare cosmic collision, Mary is drawn into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness something extraordinary.

Cam challenges her beliefs with his clever wit and surprising relatability. As Mary spends more time with him, she wrestles with a conflict between her growing admiration and her atheistic convictions that contradict his Christianity. As the team prepares for the event, pressure builds and setbacks mount. When the project hangs in the balance, the team pulls together at the last moment to capture the event in all of it’s breath-taking beauty.

As Mary begins to come around to the possibility of intelligent design, tragedy strikes when her father is killed, thrusting her back into a guarded state. Broken, enraged and confused, Mary struggles to find her footing. In the days that follow, Mary discovers something in her research: a repeating pattern expanding outward that appears ordered rather than random, challenging not only her scientific assumptions, but the way she sees the universe itself. When she presents her discovery, her interpretation is met with ridicule from her professor, who fears risking his reputation. Faced with losing everything she’s worked for, Mary must decide whether to stay silent or follow the truth where it leads. As grief, doubt, and discovery collide, she is drawn toward a reality that feels both deeply personal and profoundly meaningful. One that may redefine not only what she believes, but who she is becoming.
